Dr. Danyi was born and raised in Bethlehem. She received a B.S. in biology with honors from Moravian College in 1987. Dr. Danyi received her V.M.D from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1991. Upon graduation, Dr. Danyi and her husband, Scott Heckman, returned to the Lehigh Valley where they raised their family and she practiced locally. While enjoying all aspects of veterinary medicine, Dr. Danyi especially values the bond veterinarians develop with their clients and patients. She has a keen interest in educating clients to better understand their pets’ health issues and provide them with the information they need for preventative pet health. She is also Fear Free Certified.
Dr. Danyi lives in Nazareth and she and her husband enjoy visits from their two daughters, their son-in-law and their “grandpets”. Over the years, her furry family has included English bulldogs, retired racing greyhounds, guinea pigs, beta fish and a horse. She currently shares her home with several hypoallergenic Siberian cats and some very sweet Cavalier King Charles spaniels. In her free time, Dr. Danyi enjoys planning trips almost as much as taking them, yoga and fitness and sitting on the back porch with a good book and a good dog – or two, or three….
